Nick and I started our ranch with 2 purebred longhorn cows in 1991. Over the years we have learned much about the longhorn breed, and have always stuck with them, even after raising several other breeds. At times it's been a trial, but both Nick and I have a background full of hard work, and knowing what we love to do. Nick grew up showing Charolais in High School and worked at a Dairy. After that Nick worked on a coulple of cattle ranches in OK. While I was growing up, riding and training race horses was part of my repertoire. But don't get me wrong it's a totally different world raising cattle! Nevertheless, we have enjoyed watching our cattle herd grow and the baby calves run with all the different colors the longhorns produce. It wasn't just cattle that we raised on the ranch we are also the proud parents of a son and a daughter that have given us 4 grand daughters and 2 grandsons to date. And let me assure you , those little girls have their papa wrapped around their fingers! They are always ready to saddle up and check cows, or help on the feed truck. I guess you could say we've rubbed off on them, just a tinge! There's no telling what the future hold, but I can say without a doubt that God has already blessed us in so many unimaginable ways that I'm sure our lives will continue to include lots of hard work and pleasures of the country living.
